Overview:
Responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of oil tanker voyages — from planning and execution to post-voyage analysis — ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee voyages, including bunker procurement, agency appointments, and ship performance monitoring.
  • Support chartering and business development by identifying new trading opportunities.
  • Optimize voyage P&L through cost control, route efficiency, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Liaise with ship owners, charterers, terminals, and port authorities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Review and negotiate charter party terms and operational contracts.
  • Supervise vessel activities from delivery to redelivery, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate voyage data, documentation, and system updates (e.g., IMOS).
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, safety standards, and Code of Conduct.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in tanker operations or prior sailing experience as Chief/2nd Officer (product tanker background preferred).
  • Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Independent, organized, and solutions-driven professional.
